Week 22 (January, 25th to January, 29th):

 This week, we learned…

Kindergarten :
We reviewed the 8 body parts we learned last week (la tête (head), les épaules (shoulders), les genoux (knees), les pieds (feet), les yeux (eyes), les oreilles (ears), la bouche (mouth), le nez (nose)) and we learned 4 new ones : le cou (neck), les mains (hands), les jambs (legs), le dos (back).
We added a verse to our song “Tête, épaule et genoux-pieds” : “J’ai un cou, j’ai deux mains, deux jambes et puis un dos » (I have a neck, I have two hands, two legs and a back).

1st grade :
We went into numbers and days of the week in depth. We spelled and wrote them.

2nd  grade:
We had our test (count from 1 to 20) and we did a great job. We also went into numbers and days of the week in depth.

Homework due on Monday, February 1st: Complete the document by making sentences.
Homework due on Thursday, February 4th: No homework.


3rd  grade:
We went into what we like at school in depth using the following sentences : “J’aime (I like)/ Je n’aime  pas (I do not like)… aller à l’école (to go to school), singing (chanter), être avec des copains (to be with friends (boys)), être avec des copines (to be with friends (girls)), compter (counting), dessiner (drawing), reciter des poésies (reciting poems), faire du sport (doing sports), lire (reading).”

Homework due on Tuesday, February 2nd: Complete the document writing “J’aime” (I like) or “Je n’aime pas”(I don’t like) for each picture.
Homework due on Friday, February 5th: Make 3 sentences using “J’aime…” and/or  “Je n’aime pas…” (For example : “J’aime être avec des copines”, “Je n’aime pas faire du sport”…)

Week 21 (January, 19th to January, 22nd):

 This week, we learned…

Kindergarten :

Week 20 (January, 11th to January, 15th):

Kindergarten :
We reviewed colors and we continued to learn the French alphabet.  We also sang the alphabet song.

1st grade :
We finished the “action” song  “Mes petites mains”. As we had 3 classes this week, we worked on the tale “Boucle d’Or” (Goldilocks) last Wednesday and Thursday.

2nd  grade:
We continued to learn how to count to 20.

Week 19 (January, 6th to January, 8th):

 BONNE ANNEE! (Happy New Year!)

This week, we learned…

Kindergarten :
We started to learn French alphabet and we sang the alphabet song.

1st grade :
We reviewed, completed, spelled verbs and sang the “action” song “Mes petites mains”. We glued the song in our notebook.

“Mes p’tites mains dessinent, dessinent! Elles dessinent en haut, elles dessinent en bas, elles dessinent à gauche, elles dessinent à droite » (My little hands draw, draw ! They draw up, they draw down, they draw on the left, they draw on the right).
 Every time, we change the verb and we sing and mime a different action.

2nd  grade:
We reviewed the days of the week in order to be ready for the test next week, and we analyzed numbers (roots and pronunciation), and started to count to 20.

Homework due on Monday, January 11th: Memorize the days of the week (order): LUNDI, MARDI, MERCREDI, JEUDI, VENDREDI, SAMEDI, DIMANCHE.
Homework due on Thursday, January 14th: Complete the document “Write the numbers in the correct places”.

3rd  grade:
We reviewed the days of the week in order to be ready for the test next week, and we continued learning to count to 20.

Homework due on Tuesday, January 11th: Memorize the days of the week (order): LUNDI, MARDI, MERCREDI, JEUDI, VENDREDI, SAMEDI, DIMANCHE.
