Week 16 (December, 2nd  to December, 6th):  

This week, we learned…

Kindergarten :
We continued studying “Little Red Riding Hood”. We worked on the listening comprehension of each known word in the story.
We also learned a new song : “Fais dodo, Colas mon p’tit frère”.

Vocabulary : des fleurs (flowers), une dent (a tooth),  des pierres (rocks), le chasseur (the hunter),  les yeux (eyes), une oreille ( an ear), le ventre (belly), une galette (a pie), du beurre (butter), un panier (a basket), un loup (a wolf).
Actions : sortir (go out), parler (to speak), apporter (to bring), arrêter (to stop), cueillir (to pick.

1st grade :
We are studying the days of the week : Lundi (Monday), Mardi (Tuesday), Mercredi (Wednesday), Jeudi (Thursday), Vendredi (Friday), Samedi (Saturday), Dimanche (Sunday).
We continued also to study the following verbs : dessiner (to draw), gommer (to erase), tailler (to sharpen), peindre (to paint), découper (to cut), coller (to glue), écrire (to write), donner (to give).
We use these verbs in a song we mime:
“Mes p’tites mains dessinent, dessinent! Elles dessinent en haut, elles dessinent en bas, elles dessinent à gauche, elles dessinent à droite » (My little hands draw, draw ! They draw up, they draw down, they draw on the left, they draw on the right).
 Every time, we change the verb and we sing and mime a different action.


2nd  grade:

Homework due on Monday, December 7th: Memorize the poem “S’il te plaît”. Review 8 verbs : dessiner (to draw), gommer (to erase), tailler (to sharpen), peindre (to paint), découper (to cut), coller (to glue), écrire (to write), donner (to give).
