Week 37 (May, 16th  to May, 20th):

This week, we learned…

Kindergarten :
We reviewed our new words : Blanche-Neige (Snow-White),  le roi (the king), une fille (a girl), un garçon(a boy), les cheveux (hair), les lèvres (lips), la peau (skin), un miroir magique ( a magic mirror), la reine (queen), le cœur (the heart), en colère (angry), méchant (mean), gentil (nice), and we read the story “Snow White”.


1st grade:
We learned to describe our family: un frère (a brother), une soeur (a sister).

2nd  grade:
We learned to describe our family: un frère (a brother), une soeur (a sister).
We learned to speak about our family and to do a written introduction about other persons’ families:
 “Il/elle s’appelle…” (His/her name is… ).
“Il/elle a … frère(s) ou il/elle n’a pas de frère” (he/ she has … brother(s) or he/she doesn’t have any brothers).
Il/elle a … soeur(s) ou il/elle n’a pas de soeur (he/ she has … sister(s) or he/she doesn’t have any sister).

Week 35 (May, 2nd  to May, 6th):

This week, we learned…

Kindergarten :
We learned a new song : “Un crocodile s’en allant à la guerre”
We also started to learn vocabulary to study a story by Brothers Grimm.

1st grade :
We continued to learn what a child has in his bedroom:  les jouets (toys), un bureau (a desk), les murs (walls), une chaise (a chair), un coffre (a box, a trunk), un lit (a bed).
We learned to answer: “Il y a combien de chambres dans ta maison?” (How many bedrooms are there in your house ?)

This week, we learned…

Kindergarten :
We learned five new words : un paresseux (a sloth), un arbre (a tree), une feuille (a leaf), le jour (day), la nuit (night), and we read a new story « Lentement, lentement, lentement dit le paresseux » (Slowly, slowly, slowly said the sloth), by Eric Carle.

1st grade :
We started to learn what a child has in his bedroom:  les jouets (toys), un bureau (a desk), les murs (walls), une chaise (a chair), un coffre (a box, a trunk), un lit (a bed). We realized we already know many words!

2nd  grade:

1st grade :
We continued to learn the different rooms in a house: la cuisine (kitchen), la chambre (bedroom), la salle de bains (bathroom), le salon (sitting-room), la salle à manger (dining-room), le jardin (backyard). We started to sing a new song “Il était un petit homme” (Once upon a time a little man).

We read a new story “Demain, je te mangerai” (Tomorrow, I will eat you) by Eric Ramadier, and learned 5 adjectives : “grand” (tall), “gros” (big), petit (small), pretty (joli), laid (ugly). We started learning a new song “Promenons-nous dans les bois” (Let’s wander in the woods).

1st grade :
We reviewed “J’habite à la mer” (I live by the seaside), “en ville “(in a city), “à la campagne” (in countryside), “à la montagne” (in the mountains), “dans une maison”(in a house), “dans un appartement” (in an apartment), and started to learn the different rooms in a house.

2nd  grade:
